MANILA, Philippines — Actress and TV host Kris Aquino did not affirm or deny her participation in the upcoming Hollywood film, “Crazy Rich Asians,” being helmed by American studio outfit Warner Brothers.

Following a recent press conference for antibacterial solution Fucidin, the media, including Philstar.com, quizzed Kris about her role in the Hollywood flick.

“I don’t want to violate the non-disclosure. Please, please! Allow me this one lang talaga to obey them. Thank you!” Kris pleaded the media.

The actress declined to speak even about Mother’s Day or anything at all because she might slip.

“Ayoko talaga, sorry! Baka mamis-interpret pa nila tapos bawiin. Gift na ni God eh!” she explained.

Based on the funny novel of the same name by international bestselling author Kevin Kwan, “Crazy Rich Asians” follows the intersecting stories of heir apparent Nick Young and his cousins Eddie Cheng and Astrid Leong, a Singapore society darling, also known as “The Goddess.”

A Warner Brothers’ announcement said the film will be shot entirely in Malaysia and Singapore and will feature an all-Asian cast, including Michelle Yeoh, Henry Golding, Constance Wu, Chris Pang, Sonoya Mizuno, Gemma Chan and Awkwafina.

Kris will reportedly play the cameo role of a Brunei or Malaysian-born Asian princess.

On April 16, Kris announced that she would fly to Los Angeles to sign a contract for a Hollywood movie. The actress said that the project has been a huge blessing after experiencing a year of rejections.

Philstar.com is the first to report about the possibility of Kris being cast in “Crazy Rich Asians.”
