Thor, Luke Mejares sing national anthem at Duterte inauguration

MANILA, Philippines – Some local artists were tapped to perform at the inauguration of President Rodrigo Duterte.

On Thursday, June 30, Duterte will take the presidential oath and office at the Malacañang Palace.

OPM singers Jimmy Bondoc, Thor Dulay, Luke Mejares, Pido Lalimarmo, Paolo Santos and Gaile Blanco were tapped to sing the Philippine National Anthem at the inauguration, “TV Patrol” reported.

Freddie Aguilar was also asked to perform, both at the inauguration and at the program tonight where Duterte will meet his supporters.

These artists were some of those who convinced the former Davao City mayor to run for presidency. – Joyce Jimenez
