MANILA, Philippines - With the elections just days away, local celebrities have thrown their support for Senator and vice presidential bet Alan Peter Cayetano.

In a series of videos posted on Facebook, personalities from the entertainment industry and sports have expressed their endorsement for Cayetano’s bid.

Those who have shown their support include celebrity couple JC Intal and Bianca Gonzalez-Intal, actresses Shaina Magdayao and Isay Alvarez, actor Robert Seña, professional basketball player LA Tenorio, basketball legend Mon Fernandez and volleyball player Fille Cainglet-Cayetano.

Also showing their support are music legend Freddie Aguilar, comedian Bayani Agbayani, singers Jimmy Bondoc and Niel De Mesa, Moymoy Palaboy, and the all-girl pop group Mocha Girls.

In one of the videos, TV host Bianca Gonzalez-Intal expressed her admiration for Cayetano, whom she calls "Kuya Alan," and for his strength of character in fighting for what is right.

“Kuya Alan has always been like that. Whether little issues sa pamilya niya, hanggang national issues ng buong bansa, kapag meron siyang nakitang mali, ipo-point out talaga niya,” she said.

LA Tenorio, in another video, also described Cayetano as a fighter.

“Ito yung tao, ito yung klase ng lider na kailangan ng ating bansa. Basta alam niya na tama ang pinaglalaban niya, ipinaglalaban niya talaga,” Tenorio said.

Cayetano who is running with PDP-Laban standard-bearer Davao City Mayor Rodrigo  Duterte, is pushing for a strong anti-crime and anti-corruption platform.

The senator had earlier stated that of all the candidates vying for the two highest positions in the land, only his tandem with Duterte has the political will and strength of character to restore order in people’s lives.
