Robin Padilla's 'Game ng Bayan' airs final episode

MANILA, Philippines - Robin Padilla's afternoon game show will bid goodbye this Friday, April 15.

"Game ng Bayan" first aired on March 7. Co-hosting with Robin are Alex Gonzaga, MJ Lastimosa, Eric Nicholas and Negi, who are up against GMA's "Wowowin" hosted by Willie Revillame.

"During its limited run, 'Game ng Bayan' brought fun and entertainment to Kapamilyas around the world," said in a statement released by ABS-CBN Corporate Communication Head Kane Choa.

Kapamilya network also applauded how the show "enabled residents in participating barangays to provide the resources they need in their communities by working together in time-bound challenges in the show."

The network thanked the hosts, production staff and all the baranggays who participated in the show.

After the show airs its final episode, "Robin Padilla will focus on 'Pilipinas Got Talent,' which has started its semi-final rounds. Alex, MJ, Eric, and Negi, meanwhile, will also attend to other projects."

According to some reports, the show was axed to give way to upcoming fantasy series "Super D" that will air on Monday, April 18, before "TV Patrol."
