In a Facebook post on Sunday, Vivian said: "With much trepidation, I would like to tender my immediate irrevocable resignation, effective immediately, from the show, 'Tubig at Langis'."

She added: "I have never been so upset and humiliated by an actress in my entire career spanning four decades!"

"Tubig at Langis" is a soap opera that stars Cristine Reyes, Zanjoe Marudo and Isabelle Daza, along with Vivian Velez, Lito Pimentel, Nadia Montenegro, Marco Gumabao, Ingrid Dela Paz, Dionne Monsanto, Archie Alemanie, Victor Silayan, at Miguel Vergara.

In an interview with showbiz news site Pep.ph, Vivian admitted that the actress she was pertaining to in her post was indeed Cristine.

She said in the interview: "The straw that broke the camel's back was when we shared a designated standby room and she asked me to leave the room because she wants it only for her own."

“She bangs the doors, shouted at me. She keeps on singing 'Goodbye, Farewell' in front of my face while we are rehearsing."

Vivian said it was "the rudest thing anyone had ever done" to her.

The actress said she will meet with the producers of "Tubig at Langis" today but added her resignation is irrevocable. — Chuck Smith
