MANILA, Philippines - It seems like all is indeed well between Sen. Francis "Chiz" Escudero and the family of his wife Heart Evangelista

Cecilia Ongpauco, the mother of Heart Evangelista, attended the vice presidential bid announcement of Escudero at the Club Filipino in San Juan City on Thursday.

Ongpauco was the among the many family members and close friends of Heart.

Lovi Poe and her boyfriend Rocco Nacino were also seen during the event.

Escudero had a falling out with Heart's parents in 2013, months before the senatorial elections; they even failed to attend the wedding of their daughter Heart with the senator in February 2014.

However, Heart confirmed in an interview in July that all is well between her parents and her husband.

"Nakita nilang masaya ako so tinanggap din nila [si Chiz]," Heart said of her parents in an interview with Philstar.com and other members of the press in July.

In interviews prior to Escudero's announcement, Heart said she will support her husband's political plans.
