Elmo admits relationship with Janine

MANILA, Philippines - Elmo Magalona has finally revealed that he and Janine Gutierrez are in a relationship.  The Kapuso star shared that they are still in the early stage of their relationship. It wasn’t until the conclusion of hit TV series Villa Quintana when Elmo made his intentions clear to Janine.

“Bago pa lang,” Elmo laughingly said. “Binigyan ko siya ng time na mag-focus sa work.”

So what does Elmo like the most about Janine? “Marami eh. Malambing, mabait. There’s just something na hindi mo lang ma-explain. We just understood each other.”

Equally kilig is Janine, who shared that her parents, Monching Gutierrez and Lotlot de Leon, approve of her boyfriend.

As to what they enjoy doing together, both agreed on eating out. “Food over flowers kasi ako. Palagi lang kaming kumakain,” Janine said.

Recently, the Kapuso actress celebrated her birthday and was surprised with a dinner date by Elmo. But it wasn’t only Elmo who took time to celebrate Janine’s milestone. Their fans gathered at Centerstage in Tomas Morato last Oct. 11 to throw a birthday bash for Janine. JaninElmoNatics and JaninElmo Paris Chapter came in full force to show their love and support for Janine.

It was a night full of fun as the fans participated in contests and performed a surprise dance number for Janine. In turn, Janine performed More Than Words which is eponymous to her upcoming drama series with Elmo.

While singing, Janine and her fans were surprised when Elmo suddenly showed up and joined Janine onstage. The sweethearts made every moment count, bonding and taking selfies with their supporters.

In another interview, Janine and Elmo assured their fans that they’re working hard on their new project. In fact, they are now busy taping for the upcoming drama series More Than Words, which is slated to air in November.
