Gretchen Barretto taps Rachelle Ann Go's voice coach to pursue singing career

MANILA, Philippines - Gretchen Barretto is seriously pursuing a career in singing.

This, after the actress revealed iin an interview with Boy Abunda in “Aquino & Abunda Tonight” on Tuesday that she's trying to get in touch with Rachelle Ann Go.

“Ilusyon ko 'yon, Boy!” she replied, laughing, when asked if she'll pursue her singing career. “Yes, I'm hoping to get in touch with Rachelle Ann Go. Somebody got in touch with her and I think she's gonna give the number."

“So I'll try to get in touch. If I'll be blessed to get a schedule, I will start singing again!”

Gretchen said that she'll fly back to London on Thursday to be with her daughter Dominique. She returned to Manila for the film “The Trial.”

She said she's very grateful” to Star Cinema and ABS-CBN Executive Malou Santos for including her in the movie.

“Alam mo Boy na I doubted for a while, I kept on calling [you], 'gagawin ko ba 'to? Kaya ko ba ang challenge ng pelikulang ito?'” she recalled.

“Now I'm here, tapos na. Nag-Baclaran talaga ako, I prayed to Our Lady of Perpatual help, I asked na, 'please allow me to  give my best, give my emotions, give my all, lahat ng sakit na pinagdaanan ko sa buhay ko, help me to use it, to share it with the people.'”

After the project, the 44-year-old actress said she would take a rest for a while before taking on another project.

Now that she's getting the best of both worlds, being with her family and doing acting projects, Gretchen says “I'm in a good place and I'm grateful to be here.”
