MANILA, Philippines - Bea Alonzo and Paulo Avelino admitted that they became good friends in the course of doing their primetime soap opera "Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon."

The show, which also stars Maricar Reyes and Albert Martinez, ends this Friday.

"Nung una mahiyain pa [si Paulo]," Bea said. "Actually hanggang ngayon naman. Pero irerespeto mo siya sa pagiging private niya na ganun."

She quipped, "Friends na kami."

The ABS-CBN actress said Paulo earned her respect for being private and being a gentleman."

Does Bea, who is in a relationship with actor Zanjoe Marudo, have any love advice for Paulo, who is being linked to "Ikaw Lamang" actress KC Concepcion?
