IN PHOTOS: Lyca rocks with Aegis in 'The Voice Kids' finals

MANILA, Philippines - “The Voice Kids” Lyca Gairanod was a stand out as she performed with rock band Aegis during the second night of the finale weekend of ABS-CBN's “The Voice Kids” on Sunday, July 27. 
 
The nine-year-old singer—who eventually won the reality singing contest, besting fellow finalists Juan Karlos Labajo, Darren Espanto, and Darlene Vibares—sang “Basang-basa sa Ulan” with her favorite OPM band.

“Lyca, hindi lang pang-grand finals ang performance mo kung di pang-concert mo,” her coach Sarah Geronimo said of her performance.
 
Lyca auditioned for “The Voice Kids” with the Aegis song “Halik.” The performance earned praises from the judges.

The young singer was eventually dubbed the “Little Superstar” after she was likened by Lea Salonga to the Superstar Nora Aunor.
 
The other three finalists also performed with veteran singers during the Sunday, July 27 show prior to the announcement of the winner.

Darlene, coached by Lea Salonga, sang a duet with Lani Misalucha.
 
The two performed the song “You Don't Have to Say You Love Me.” “Pinakita mo na you will not give up without a fight,” Lea told Darlene, adding the duet was her best performance yet.

Meanwhile, Darren of Team Sarah sang “You Are My Song” with Martin Nievera.
 
“Ako malaking karangalan na naging bahagi ako, naging parte ako ng pagtupad ng mga pangarap mo. At talaga naman ngayon gabi, matutupad talaga ang mga pangarap mo,” Sarah told the young singer after his performance.

Juan Karlos, coached by Bamboo Manalac, performed the 1980s “Eto Na Naman” with Gary Valenciano.
 
“There is one thing that JK shares with all the guest performers tonight. Hindi taas ng boses, hindi lakas, hindi power. The one he shares with all the performers is he can find the heart of each song,” Bamboo said of Juan Karlos' performance.

The four finalists and their coaches also performed with “The Voice of the Philippines” winner Mitoy Yonting during the show's opening number.  
 
In a tweet hours after the finale of “The Voice Kids,” Lea revealed they are already preparing for the second season of “The Voice of the Philippines.”
 
“Now I get a month off... and then it's BLIND AUDITION time for The Voice of the Philippines Season 2!!! Handa na ba kayo,” she told her more than two million followers on Twitter.
