Sarah Geronimo reveals she has fallen in love twice

MANILA, Philippines – Usually evasive when talking about her love life, Sarah Geronimo admits she has fallen in love twice in the past.

In an interview with the ABS-CBN’s showbiz “Buzz ng Bayan” on Sunday, Nov. 10, the singer shared she has acceptance from her first love.

“Natutunan ko yung acceptance, na siguro we’re not meant for each other. Siguro, hindi pala ito yung panahon namin,” Sarah explained. “Pero, importante sa lahat, napagpatuloy yung friendship. Yung pagmamahal mo sa tao na yun, yun ang hinding-hindi na mawawala. Yun pong, makita mo lang siya, makausap mo lang siya, okay na, mahal kita.”

Meanwhile, Sarah’s second attempt at love taught her that she deserves someone better.

“Merong pag-ibig na hindi para sayo, pag-ibig na you deserve someone better,” she said.

The “Ikot-ikot” singer added, “Magmahal ka nang totoo, ng tama. Ngayon, kung hindi niya suklian yun, e di sorry. Basta ako, nagmahal ako nang totoo.”

Sarah did not reveal who these past loves are. The Kapamilya artist has been linked to actors Rayver Cruz and Gerald Anderson.

The 25-year-old artist — known for being overly protected and guarded by her parents, particularly her mother Divine — said that at her age, it’s important to make her own decisions, “lalo na sa pag-ibig.”

“Ang importante na lang, sana mapatunayan mo na tama yung desisyon, tama yung taong minahal. And sana ganun din yung magmamahal, mapatunayan yung sarili niya,” Sarah shared.

Is she currently in love? Sarah did not answer the question directly. However, the singer said she is hoping and praying that she is doing the right thing.

Sarah is currently being linked to Kapamilya actor Matteo Guidicelli, who remains mum on the issue.

“Kung magkakamali man ako, naniniwala ako na ire-redirect ng Diyos ang path ko,” she said.

Sarah further said, “At ang mga magulang ko andyan para po sa akin. Hindi nila ako bibitawan.”

“Pinagdarasal ko na maging buo pa rin ako hanggang dumating yung panahon na makita ko na talaga yung, alam nyo yun, makasama ko na yung mapapangasawa ko.”
