LIST: Bank schedule for 2016 holidays

MANILA, Philippines — A number of banks announced that they will close operations in view of the coming Christmas and New Year festivities.

Here are the schedules of banks in the coming holidays.

Banco de Oro

In an announcement, BDO Unibank said it will open select branches during the holiday season. However, it said that some mall and non-mall branches will have shortened banking hours on December 24, 30 and 31. (List of Branches open during holidays)

For December 26 and January 2, BDO Unibank said only the branches in malls will be open until 4 p.m. to accommodate clients’ banking transactions. On the other hand, regular banking hours will be implemented from December 27 to 29.

 

Bank of the Philippine Islands

BPI and BPI Family Saving Banks said it will have extended banking hours on weekdays including Saturday in selected branches. There are 138 branches and 35 BPI Family Savings Bank branches that will extend until 6 p.m.

EastWest Bank

Selected branches of the EastWest Bank will remain open on December 24, 26 30, 31 and January 2.

Metrobank

Metrobank also announced that its select branches will hold office on December 24, 26 30, 31 and January 2. The list of these branches appears below.

 

PSBank

In its website, PSBank announced that all of its branches will be closed on December 26 by virtue of Proclamation No. 117, declaring the said date a special non-working holiday. However, it said all their 611 ATMs will be online and PSBank Mobile and PSBank Online will be available for the clients’ banking transactions.

Here are other reminders from PSBank regarding the change of its schedule.

Payroll

  • All payroll crediting on Dec. 26, 2016 will proceed.

Automatic Debit Agreement

  • Accounts with due dates on December 26 will be debited on December 27

  • Payments will be valued on its original due date

  • No penalties will be charged

Check clearing and settlement

  • Clearing will be suspended on December 26. Late checks received on December 23 will be processed on December 27

  • No penalties will be charged for checks dated December 26, intended for PSBank loan payments

Time deposits

  • Maturities on December 26 will be processed on December 27

Security Bank

Security bank said it will halt operations on December 26 in observance of the proclaimed holiday
