Advice from former addict

Don't give up. Three friends who were once shunned by their high school batchmates for using drugs became the talk of the class reunion because of how they were able to turn their lives around dramatically.

The only one of the three who could make it to the reunion readily admitted he used drugs after he left high school, but said with the support of his family he was able to turn his life around, find a good woman, get a good job, and start a family.

He said two other classmates who fell into the vice with him were also able to leave it; one is happily married with three honor student daughters, and the other works abroad and frequently travels.

"Mao na kamo nga naa'y mga anak nga nag-drugs, ayaw g'yud mo'g give-up," the man told his batchmates, "look what happened to me and the other two."
