Out of touch with the timeline

BLAST FROM THE PAST. The students of this teacher at a private school were left wondering what she was thinking after she announced the assignment of the class; talk to someone who was alive during the American occupation of the Philippines and get their insights about daily life back then.

Anyone who alive way back then would have to be at least 90 years old, if still alive.

After the parents complained they had no surviving relatives, the assignment was changed to the experience of people who survived World War II. That widened the field a bit, but many still complained their relatives no longer remembered how it was back then.
