Relief rice rotting?
HAVE BAT WILL STRIKE - Juanito V. Jabat   (The Freeman) - April 23, 2014 - 12:00am

It says here that in Pacman's recent fight he was guaranteed $20 million. Of course, he knows that the BIR knows this. So knowing that, he should prepare for his next bout. This time against Kim.

Just my take: American Idol finalist Jessica Sanchez can sing the Pambansang Awit better than the native-born Pinoy singers who had sang the National Anthem in Pacman's fights.

Scientists in this high-tech era have successfully made artificial but working-like-real human body parts like noses, ears, hands, and even lungs, intestines, etc. Now, reports say, they're working on a human vagina for a woman who was born without one.

What's this: A TV network has exposed sacks and sacks of rice donated by the European Union for the Tacloban typhoon victims that are rotting (the rice!) and eaten by worms in a bodega. This is criminal neglect.

Whoever is to be blamed for this neglect cannot deny it and go scot free because the worms are shown on TV feasting on the rotting rice. A denial has already been heard but the TV outfit is standing on its report with convincing evidence.

OVERHEARD. There is a controversy surrounding the Minglanilla "Sugat" rites on Easter Sunday. The mayor wants it in the sports complex but the priests want it done in front of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Shrine. Said one observer: "Nganong lalison man gyud nang butanga oy." Replied someone: "Bitaw oy. Bisan asa basta tua ang atong hunahuna ug kasingkasing." A lay person said: "Maayo gyud unta nang sa relihiyosong lugar kay parte man na sa Ginoo."
