Proudly Pinoy: Ongoing until Nov. 28, “Kahimunan” showcases the products of Northern Mindanao’s five provinces: Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, and Misamis Oriental.

MANILA, Philippines - “Kahimunan, the Creations of Northern Mindanao” is the inaugural selling event at the OTOP (One Town One Product) Store Makati, the newly renovated showroom of the Department of Trade and Industry’s Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion (DTI-BDTP), located on the ground floor of the Trade & Industry Building in Makati City.

Ongoing until Nov. 28, Kahimunan showcases the products of Northern Mindanao’s five provinces: Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, and Misamis Oriental. Kahimunan highlights the region as an excellent source of fresh and processed foods, including processed meat products, coffee and cacao products, fruits, nuts and vegetables, fruit juices and beverages, spices and condiments, as well as snack foods.

The region also produces export-quality stoneware pottery, handmade paper products, fashion accessories and bags, as well as crafts and furnishings made of abaca, bamboo, romblon and other indigenous materials.

There is a wide selection of products for corporate giveaways, and to meet the kitchen requirements of households, hotels and restaurants. Supermarket suppliers will also be able to discover new offerings for gift packages, domestic and export product distribution portfolios, and market-matching ventures.

Several special events are lined up for the duration of Kahimunan, such as Suman and Processed Seafood Days on Nov. 21 and 22.

DTI-Region 10 and the Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion jointly organized Kahimunan. For more information, contact the OTOP Store Makati at 751-0384 local 3223, or email bdt@dti.gov.ph or BDTP@dti.gov.ph.
