CEBU, Philippines — The RW Freight and Team Joher outgunned their respective rivals in the inaugural Lycans Basketball League (LBL) season at the Cebu Port Authority (CPA) gym.
Joseph Cabahug topscored with 18 points while EJ Conahap and Jerico Cortes dropped 15 points apiece as RW Freight bested DC Abay-Abay, 96-88.
Phil Mercader and Dwight Dabon each scored 13 for RW Feight, which grabbed the solo lead with a 4-2 win-loss slate.
Alain Tarona, Jake Palad, and Pong Seno connived for 40 points but their efforts went for naught as DC Abay-Abay absorbed its fourth setback in seven matches.
In the other action, Paul Sungahid fired 20 points while Earl Sanchez and Mik Pahugot finished with 33 combined points to lift Joher to a 103-87 demolition of Truck ‘N Trail Transport Services.
Jeff Herrera and Kyrie Alfeche tallied an identical 12 markers as Joher evened its record to 3-3.
