Team Kobe, DMY Events stay unbeaten in Hoop Nation’s Arlan Cup

CEBU, Philippines —  Team Kobe and DMY Events kept their unbeaten records intact in Hoop Nation’s Hoops Arlan Cup Season 1 over the weekend at the City Sports Club Cebu.

Ro Jocame sizzled with 19 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocks as Team Kobe slammed 5 Joints, 59-50, to tighten its grip of the East Division leadership with a perfect 5-0 mark.   

Not to be outdone, Jeff Gudes dropped 22 points on top of six rebounds and three assists as DMY escaped past Praypboys, 78-76, to seize the solo lead in West Division with an immaculate 4-0 slate.

The Prayboys, however, bounced back quickly and vented their ire on the Cebuanos, 85-73.

Jay Palco scattered 20 points, nine rebounds and two steals for the Prayboys, who now holds a 3-2 win-loss card.

On the other hand, the Wolves and Gonzalodo Enterprises downed their respective rivals to improve their records to 3-1.

Bal Zaspa dished out a solid double-double of 33 points and 16 rebounds laced with three steals as the Wolves bested Simple Blends, 81-75, while Gamaliel Bas unloaded 21 points, nine rebounds and three blocks in Gonzalodo’s 73-48 rout of Pfizer. 

In other results, both the Clutch City and Punisher snapped out of their three-game losing jinx.

Mariano Caranoo delivered a monster double-double show of 24 points and 27 rebounds spiked with three blocks as Clutch City barged into the win column with a 71-60 drubbing of the Broncos, while Jeremy Vidal charted 21 points, four rebounds and three steals as the Punisher tasted victory in style via an 83-51 demolition of the Cougars.

The rest of the matches saw MEQ Builders whipping I.28 Realty 101-74, KJK Reino prevailing over Letsgo!, 59-55, and Dextructures clobbering the Brothers, 95-58. — EBV
