Tiu, Co rule ACBI-Prima Open bowling

CEBU, Philippines — Clarence Tiu and Boy Co shared spotlight in the Association of Cebu Bowlers Incorporated(ACBI)-Prima Open’s first joint Bowler of the Month action the other night at the Bowlingplex in Barangay Banilad, Cebu City.

Organizers decided to hold a joint monthly event for the month of January and February due to ACBI’s hosting of the Sinulog Cup.

 Tiu, who is heading ACBI now has been “rewarded” for all his hard work from last month’s event by topping the joint monthly action with 1,193 pinfalls for a six-game final.

 Tiu was named January’s best while Boy Co who also has 1,193 pins with 21 handicap emerged as February’s bowler of the month.

Bel Suelto missed a title and settled for third with 1,177 pinfalls.

Dodong Dante ended fourth with 1,166 pins as Aui Padawan placed fifth with 1,103 pins and Bede Ilano at the sixth spot with 1,073 pins.

 Female bowler Tessie Dante came out seventh with 1,044 output and Charly Michael at the eighth spot with 1,016 pinfalls.

 The top performers each month will battle out each other for the Bowler of the Year honors later this year.
