CEBU, Philippines — The Accenture Sharks quickly bounced back from a previous loss while the Dreamscape Lions nailed a ground-breaking win in the Elite Classic of the Tanduay Athletics CSCC E-Leagues for Basketball Season 15 on Saturday, August 24, at the City Sports Club-Cebu Gym.

Sherwin Resilla dished out a solid double-double show with 23 points and 12 rebounds as the Sharks handed the Fusion BPO Dragons their first loss, 77-70.

Resilla was heavily backed up by Hubert Eamiguel and Ryan Veloso as they readily made up for their 68-72 loss to the defending champions Sykes Pioneers to better their win-loss card to 4-1.

Eamiguel finished with 14 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals while Veloso donated 13 markers  and five boards for the Sharks.

Justine Marie Mier had 18 points while Roy Quiachon Jr. posted 16 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks but their efforts went down the drain as the Dragons saw their four-game win streak come to a sudden red stop.

On the other hand, Matthew Alvin Oche churned out 24 points, 10 assists, eight rebounds, five steals and two blocks as the Lions tamed the Wipro Tigers, 81-74, to snap out pf their three-game skid.

Aaron Suson and Rey Herda Jr. connived for 34 points but to no avail as the Tigers tailspun to 1-3.

In the other Elite Classic duel, the Teleperformance Vipers prolonged the agony of the listless ePerformax Reds, 71-53, for their third victory in five starts.

The Vipers benefited from the all-around show of Mahlon Jahzeel Paghasian, who cashed in 14 points, 11 rebounds, three blocks, and two steals.

Kilffin Ropuesto and Kenz Carlie Hernandez tallied 21 points in between them while Mon Xavier Dico contributed eight points, 12 rebounds, three steals and three assists for the Vipers.

Rafel Jose Cuico had 15 points, 13 rebounds, three assists, and three steals for the Vipers who still couldn’t find the winning formula after four matches.

In the EVO League, the Amazon Aces raised their record to 4-2 after escaping past the Author Solutions Philippines Inc. Hardbacks, 72-69, while the Fluor Pandas stunned the previously unbeaten Tech Mahindra Tech Mighties, 67-62, to improve their mark to 3-1.
