Panugaling shines in SEA amateur skating

CEBU, Philippines — Motic “Citom” Panugalinog showed that he is one of Cebu’s top skateboarder as he ruled the Cebu stop of the DC Southeast Asian Tour Amateur Competition at SM City-Cebu’s parking lot over the weekend.

 The 18 year-old Panugalinog claimed the champion’s trophy in the premier amateur open division.

Panugalinog, who dreams of following the footsteps of Asian Games gold medalist Margielyn Didal, posted 8.82 points total for the top spot while Jan Albert Alfaro wound up second with 8.18 points as John Paul Horteza came out third with 7.98 points.

Panugalinog’s teammate Lou Sierras also made his presence felt with a fourth-place finish with 7.9 points followed by Jade Lumaqsao in fifth with 7.4 points.

Rounding the top 10 placers were Trunks Manalo (6.6) Khyl Angelo Siarot  (6.37) Jemath Libre (6.33), Boloy Del Castillo (5.83) and Eli Joy Junas (5.27). (FREEMAN)
