Yaw-Yan Summer Clinic set April 1

CEBU, Philippines — It’s a green and go for the annual summer clinic of Yaw-Yan ArDigma Cebu on April 1 at the 4th floor of Coast Pacific Downtown Center just across the University of Cebu main campus along Sanciangko Street, this city.

 

The famed Filipino martial arts will once again conduct clinics especially for students with summer peeking around the corner.

“Its going to be another fun and exciting camp. We are expecting kids and teens to join us especially that we are offering classes in mixed martial arts,” said Yaw-Yan ArDigma Cebu founder Master Benigno ‘Ekin’ Caniga Jr. “MMA has been very popular because of Ultimate Fighting Championship and One Championship and in this camp, they will learn the basic of the sport.”

Considered as the MMA pioneer club in the region, Yaw-Yan ArDigma has produced a lot of elite and professional fighters including Roel ‘Akiyama’ Rosauro, who has fought in the One Championship two times.

Master Ekin also revealed that one of his stalwart in undefeated Allan Albindo has been included in the roster for the One World Series, ONE Championship’s farm tournament.

“My primary goal is still to develop Cebuano fighters that will excel in international stage. Hopefully through the summer clinic, I can find another potential fighters,” added Master Ekin.

Aside from Yaw-Yan system, Muay Thai and MMA, other courses offered in the month-long camp include arnis, boxing and basic self-defense.
