DTCC bets shine in DSCPI ranking

CEBU, Philippines — The Dancesport Team Cebu City grabbed five gold, eight silver and eight bronze medals in the DSCPI’s 1st National Quarterly Ranking yesterday at the Valle Verde Country Club in Pasig City.

The tandem of Wilbert Aunzo and Pearl Caneda bagged the second place in the Southeast Asian Games tryout behind Manila’s Michael Marquez and Stephanie Sabalo. Aunzo and Caneda also got the silver in the grade A latin.

DTCC swept the medals in the youth A Latin and special event 1 C Latin.

In the youth A, the top three were Lloyd Simon Asuque and Jasmine Kate Labra followed by Jake Emmanuel Corro and Kim Jocson and Gylle Nino Diluvio and Yeddah Castanares.

The SE 1C Latin event’s top three were Shardie Abellana and Marjorie Paseje, Ruoden Estillore and Krisia De Jesus and Lark Jabonero and Charlene Mernillo.

Diluvio and Castanares bounced back to rule the youth A standard while teammate Estillore and De Jesus got another silver via the grade B Latin.

Malvin Jamili and Alvilon Arriesgado and Romeo Jay Cialbo and Charlene Memillo had a 1-2 finish in the special event 1C standard while Rich Jaeon Uy and Juliet Monique Rallos won the juvenile 2A Latin gold.

John Lloyd Leyson and Ouie Selene Rendon settled with a silver this time via the junior A standard while Nino Salve and Trixie Pearl Dicdican got a silver through the junior C Latin and bronze in the standard discipline. (FREEMAN)
