Cebuanos stamp classes in Alaska Ironkids
DAVAO CITY, Philippines — Talisay City’s Moire Frances Erediano led the cast of top Cebuano performers in the 2018 Alaska Ironkids here.
Erediano of Talisay Luigi Triathlon Group topped the girls’ 13-14 age group with a time of 43:30, one second ahead of Omega Tri’s Mareille Estreba. Erediano’s teammate Nicole Marie Del Rosario wound up third in 45:36, clocking.
TLTG also dominated the boys’ 11-12 action with Earol Belonquil on top with 32:59, clocking followed by Matthew Justine Hermosa with 33:06. Dave Zachary settled for third with 38:21.
Earol’s sister Rhexiel also managed to secure the silver medal in the 6-8 class with a time of 22:28.
Carron Paulter Canas dominated the boys’ 9-10 action with 26:29, clocking, while Jason Cañete (30:48) and Tenchi Semilla (32:10) occupied the fifth and seventh place, respectively.
Al Dustin Bersabal ruled the boys’ 6-8 with his 18:04, while Kenshile Luke Cabando placed fourth with 19:50.
Mylene Galo snared the silver medal in the 9-10 girls with her 29:45, while Mikele Katerina Jopson placed third in the 11-12 division with 42:27 clocking.
Meanwhile, it’s the Cebu pro’s turn to strut their wares today in the Alveo Ironman 70.3.
Omega Tri Team bets Jorry Ycong and Banjo Norte are both gunning for a podium finish in the Asian elite class.
John Philip and Chobie Duenas will represent MotorAce tri team, while Tribu Lapu-Lapu will be fielding two relay squads.
