CEBU, Philippines — Visiting teams Cagayan De Oro United Football Club and Ilonggo Young Booters flexed their athletic muscles as they ruled their respective division of the 15th Thirsty Football Cup yesterday at the Cebu City Sports Center.

CDO United clinched the boys under-15 title over Collegio De Santo Tomas Recoletos of San Carlos City, 3-2, in the penalty shootout, while the Ilonggos pulled off a 1-0 thriller against Bright Academy to win the boys under-17 championship.

Meanwhile, Don Bosco Technical College snared another title via the mix under-7 class. The Bosconians beat CNN Dolphins of San Carlos City, 1-0, courtesy of a goal by 6-year-old Alexander Rayo.

The Dolphins quickly bounced back as they nabbed the mix under-9 title with a 3-2 victory over Tamasak FC. Tamasak FC also tasted a championship in the mix under-11 division after beating Don Bosco.

In the girls bracket, Giuseppe FC was hailed as the under-15 champion. Giuseppe and King Forest of Mandaue City both have 13 points, but Giuseppe lady booters were declared as the champion as they got the most number of goals in four games.
