All set for Mayor Tom O inter-commercial caging

CEBU, Philippines - Cebu fans brace for   action-packed hardcourt show via the 2017 Mayor Tomas Osmeña Cup Independence Day inter-commercial basketball tournament on June 8-12 at the Cebu City Sports Institute.

"Commercial basketball has been inactive here in our city for quite some time now. That is why we take the initiative to organize one for the fans to enjoy and Cebu basketball alive again," said league commissioner Lito Manguerra.

A total of four teams will slug it out for top honors.

These are Aspa, RMA Logistics, Vescon Construction and RCR Structures.

They will play in a single round robin format, with the top two teams fighting it out for the title in a knockout match.

The champion will receive P50,000, while the second and third placers will take home P30,000 and P20,000, respectively.

The four-day tilt is backed up by Cebu Sea Life, an oceanarium similar to that of Manila's Ocean Park that will open in February 2018 near SM Seaside City. (FREEMAN)
