Tillor rules Bogo duathlon

CEBU, Philippines – Bogo City’s pride Noel Tillor made his townmates proud after dominating the 5th Bogo Duathlon Challenge with authority yesterday.

Tillor was way ahead of his closest pursuers, clocking in two hours, 36 minutes and 36 seconds to claim the men's open elite title.

Sulpicio Ombong was a distant second with a time of 2:42:09 while Jezreil Baguio settled for third in 2:43:15.

Noel Tillor’s brother Argie, on the other hand, finished second to Jimboy Butad in the 30-under age group that follows a shorter course than the elite. Butad posted 1:26:05 while Argie finished in 1:27:78 as Marl Baguio came out third with a time of 1:29:15.

Jheppy Joson ruled the 31-44 category in 1:28:23 followed by Rolly Cabaluna (1:29:28) and Ramonito Espinosa (1:32:26), while the top three in the 45-above were Nick Malon (1:34:22), Edilberto Bantiacila  (1:54:12) and Martin Cacanog (1:55:75)

In the women’s open, Lizzane Abella came out on top with a 1:56:20 clocking. Lucille Ruiz placed second in 1:57:07 followed by Marjorie Ellen Jore, who timed in two hours. — (FREEMAN)
