3rd A-Plus All Weather Paint Run set June 4

CEBU, Philippines - Seeing running as a way to continue to help abandoned and neglected children and at the same time promote healthy lifestyle, the A-Plus All Weather Paint will stage its 3rd Color Run on June 4 starting and ending at the Terraces of Ayala Center Cebu.

The race, which features the 3K, 6K and 12K, is a fund-raising event for the benefit of the orphans under the care of Asilo de la Milagrosa which has been A-Plus All Weather Paint’s beneficiary ever since.

“We have been helping Asilo dela Milagrosa since we started our running event.  We saw that they really need help financially and we want to show our love to the children under its care by providing them with their needs,” said A-Plus All Weather Paint vice president for operations Pepito Lim during the event's formal launching yesterday at Quest Hotel.

For her part, Sister Myra Mondia of Asilo, said that the funds that they will receive will be a big help for the 60 orphans who are under their care. “We are really grateful for their help and assistance. They are a blessing to us.”

Lim added that they are hopeful to surpass the last two editions number of runners.  He is expecting not less than 1,000 participants to join the event.

A total of P60,000 of cash prizes are at stake for the winners in each category plus specially designed medals. As an added perks, all the participants will have a chance to win exciting prizes from corporate sponsors during the raffle draw.

Registration fee is pegged at P350 for 3K, P400 for 6K and P450 for 12K inclusive of singlet, race bib and post-race refreshments. Entry forms are available at RUNNR in Ayala Center Cebu and Toby's at SM City Cebu. (FREEMAN)
