TV5 airs 17th Asian Games closing ceremony

CEBU, Philippines - Filipinos will get to witness the colorful closing ceremony of the 2014 Asian Games  today at 9:45 p.m. as TV5 airs via satellite the much-awaited concluding program happening at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium in Incheon, South Korea.

Similar to the opening ceremony of the quadrennial sports event, the closing program promises to be a star-studded affair with performances from K-Pop stars led by boy band Big Bang. The organizers promise to recapture the various moments of the past 16 days of competition, capping it all off with a grand fireworks display that will surely be a poignant moment for the athletes and spectators who are present at the Games. There will also be a turnover ceremony to Indonesia, the 2018 Asian Games host country.

Sports5, TV5’s sports production arm, provided an extensive coverage of the 2014 Asian Games straight from Incheon, South Korea, giving updates and live scores from the various events participated in by the Philippine delegation of athletes, who garnered medals in cycling, wushu, taekwondo and boxing.
