4 games on tap in CESAFI 'Holiday Special'

CEBU, Philippines -  The Southwestern University (SWU) Cobras and the University of San Carlos (USC) Warriors take on separate rivals as the league's top two teams headline a heavy four-game Holiday Special in the 14th Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) men's basketball tournament today at the Cebu Coliseum.

As their older counterparts are taking the floor later, the USC Baby Warriors will shoot for a tie of the overall lead as they flaunt their more superior lineup against the Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U) Wildkittens.

The league-leading Cobras (4-0), who are out to sweep their first round assignments, are the heavy favorites against the slumping University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters, who lost in their last three games after their season-opening 100-96 win in overtime against the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Jaguars.

Meanwhile, the 3-1 Warriors, fresh from 74-65 humbling of the Webmasters the other night, will trade barbs against the Jaguars to officially settle at the second spot after the first round of eliminations.

In the juniors tussle, the Baby Warriors are poised to pick up yet another win, hoping to join the Magis Eagles at the top spot with identical 3-0 win-loss records.

Earlier today, the 2-2 Junior Webmasters hope to bounce back from a previous loss when they take on the weakling Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC) Greywolves. (FREEMAN)
