World renowned football training camp set to take place in Cebu

CEBU, Philippines - FC Barcelona Escola   Camp Philippines announced yesterday that its world renowned football training is back for a third time in the Philippines. It will be held in Cebu at the Aboitiz Sports Field from October 26 to 30.

“FCBE Camp Philippines received many inquiries from the Visayas and Mindanao regions. We were excited to know of the growing excitement, even reaching neighboring countries – Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, and others,” said Nicholas Reyes, FC Barcelona Escola Camp Philippines Co-Head Organizer and Team Socceroo Managing Director. “With the next camp scheduled for Cebu, FC Barcelona Escola will be closely accessible to many of the football loving Filipinos living in the south of the Philippines.”

Last year, FCBE impressively launched its first two camps in Alabang and Taguig. Students that participated in the previous camps were from greater Metro Manila but many from Cebu, Negros Occidental, Davao, Iloilo, and Cagayan De Oro.

“Its wonderful to see that more children are learning FC Barcelona’s way to football which makes for a great foundation,” Reyes continued. “We are confident that this training camp will provide the participants confidence, inspiration and the start of a solid football foundation for them to reach greater heights. This is also a camp to check out football talent in the Visayas area and give them an opportunity to learn from the Barca way.”

The camp will also open its doors for Filipino talents who are less privileged through the organizer’s sponsorship program. The camp aims to contribute in the development of football in the Philippines through the grassroots and through the philosophy and methodology that Barca is known for. Participants will serve as inspiration and hope for fellow youth football players. (FREEMAN)
