P34M in drugs seized in CV in a week

CEBU, Philippines — Nearly ?34 million worth of illegal drugs were seized by the Police Regional Office-7 (PRO-7) in a week’s operations.

In operations from May 5 until May 11, a total of 4,954.83 grams of suspected shabu were confiscated by the police and 151 high-profile personalities were arrested throughout Central Visayas.

In illegal gambling operations, 203 suspects were arrested and ?23,227 in bet money was seized.

Police also recovered 56 loose firearms including surrendered firearms while 13 suspects were arrested.

Police also arrested 14 most wanted individuals and 112 other wanted persons when they executed pending arrest warrants.

A total of 493 suspects in various crimes were arrested and are currently in police custody and are scheduled to be charged.

The police called on the public to be their partners against crime.
