CEBU, Philippines — Authorities have arrested one of the three suspects in the robbery incident along J. Lune Avenue, Cebu Business Park, Barangay Luz, Cebu City at around 2 a.m. Friday.

The arrested suspect was identified as Joryle Baguio, 20, jobless, a resident of sitio Kalinaw, Cabantan Street, Barangay Luz.

Baguio and two others allegedly robbed two call center agents Honey Lee Galan dela Peña, 23, and Kristel Meca Ragasa Bullecer, 25.

Police Major Eraño Regidor, chief of the Mabolo Police Station 4 of Cebu City Police Office, said the incident happened Friday dawn.

Dela Peña reportedly was the first to be robbed of her P500 while Bullecer lost her cellphone and undetermined amount of cash to the robbers.

The suspects allegedly used knife in holding up the victims.

The suspect was arrested after a victim sought the help of a security guard who then called for police assistance.

Regidor said the incident was an isolated one since it was the first time it happened in the area.

“Wala tay laing reported nga tulis kana ra, sa usa ka adlaw,” he said.

The Mabolo Police Station would deploy personnel in the area to assist security officers to prevent crimes.

— Banat News/GMR (FREEMAN)
