Active cases in Cebu City now 343

CEBU, Philippines — Sixteen more COVID-19 cases were reported in Cebu City on Friday, bringing the city’s active cases to 343.

Data of the Department of Health in Central Visayas showed that the city now has 10,545 total coronavirus cases.

The same data showed three new recoveries, putting the total recoveries to 9,520.

The city’s total number of deaths, on the other hand, stands at 682.

Moreover, the cities of Mandaue and Lapu-Lapu have 81 and 120 active cases, respectively.

Mandaue City has a total of 2,637 cases, including four new ones.

It also reported one new recovery (2,390 total recoveries) and two new deaths (166 total deaths).

In Lapu-Lapu City, 2,579 total cases were reported there after recording 13 additional cases.

Ten additional recoveries were also recorded, bringing the total recoveries to 2,350.

The total number of deaths is at 109 as one new death was recorded.

In Cebu Province, the total number of cases is at 6,673, 343 of which are active, after recording 12 additional cases.

The total number of recoveries is at 5,930, 11 of these were new.

The province’s total number of deaths maintains at 400.

As of Friday, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Central Visayas is at 23,596 with 1,221 active cases, 20,998 total reported recoveries, and 1,377 total reported deaths. — KQD (FREEMAN)
