7th most wanted in Aloguinsan nabbed

Ermida Q. Moradas - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines — The seventh most wanted person of Aloguinsan town in midwest Cebu was arrested Monday afternoon.

Jennifer Compacion, 19, who has a pending robbery case, was arrested by the Aloguinsan police in the town’s Barangay Toyokon.

Compacion had a standing arrest warrant for robbery charges issued by Toledo City Regional Trial Court Branch 29 Judge Ruben Altubar.

Police Officer 2 April Lubiano of Aloguinsan police said they were tipped off about the suspect’s whereabouts.

He said Compacion did not resist arrest during the operation.

In August 2016, Lubiano said the suspect forcibly entered a store in Barangay Toyokon and carted away cash amounting to P50,000.

The suspect immediately left the town and went to Cebu City to work which made it difficult for the police to find him.

Compacion is now detained at the police station’s lockup cell. He will be turned over to the court that issued his arrest warrant.

The RTC recommended P24,000 bail for the robbery charge. —KBQ (FREEMAN)
