Man killed in drunken fight in Carcar

CEBU, Philippines — A man was stabbed to death during a drunken argument at a convenience store in Barangay Poblacion I, Carcar City around 3:30 a.m. yesterday.

Romil Amalio, 15, a resident of Sitio Baraka, Barangay Poblacion II, Carcar City, was declared dead on arrival at Carcar Provincial Hospital after being stabbed by suspect Christopher Alesna, of legal age, and a resident of Sitio Lunaw-lunaw, Barangay Poblacion I, Carcar City.

According to Police Officer 2 Jomari Villar of Carcar City Police Station, Amalio and his friends had just come from a birthday party and decided to continue their drinking at the 7-Eleven convenience store located along San Vicente Street, Barangay Poblacion I, Carcar City.

Villar added that Amalio was already drunk when he got into a heated argument with Alesna, who was also drunk. The two did not know each other.

The heated argument escalated into a fight where Alesna allegedly stabbed Amalio twice in the neck and once in the back before running away.

The suspect remains at large but police continue their manhunt operations for his arrest. (FREEMAN)
