Ambassador Frank’s dinner for Consul General Song

Ambassador Francisco L. Benedicto, a most revered and well-respected person in this Queen City, last week hosted a marvelous Lauriat dinner for a friend… Consul General Song Ronghua of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), at the Tsai Tseng, in Grand Convention. The Lauriat menu was superbly chosen by Ambassador Frank, and the entire group of selected members of the media was much elated. There were no speeches but only short remarks from the host and the special guest.

As dinner was going on, Consul General Song offered a toast using the whiskey he brought all the way from China which was bruited to be quite of a strength. And the most daring one to persist in sipping the whiskey was Sam Costanilla, emcee for the evening whose face was already tomato-red.

Before we parted ways, Consul General Song who is versatile and very articulate in speaking English, gifted all of us with a souvenir from China, a gift we shall altogether treasure!
