Summer workshops for kids

CEBU, Philippines - With the school days over, kids can now do what they love to do. The recently launched “Happy Colorful Summer” campaign at Ayala Center Cebu features a series of workshops for kids throughout months of March, April and May. There are also summer concerts, fashion shows, music and art festivals and other events for the whole family.

A premium selection of activities has been lined up at The Active Zone for kids aged four to 12, starting on April 7.  The workshops are designed to keep the kids active this summer while, at the same time, bringing out the best in them with workshops in taekwondo, fashion modeling, painting, and jazz and contemporary dance.

Taekwondo, meaning “the way of the foot and the hand,” is one of the world’s most popular martial arts. It combines self-defense and combat techniques with sport and exercise. Benefits include an improvement of strength and balance, concentration, discipline and respect. Kids will learn the basics or advance their martial art skills at Kenn Sports Academy’s Taekwondo Workshop.

Kids will also build their confidence, learn how to walk the runway and express themselves in commercial and photo-shoot modeling in the Fashion Modeling classes by AD Models Management.

The Joel Olivares’ Painting Workshop aims to further encourage and start little budding artists. Kids will develop their potential or hone existing skills in painting, and begin to trail-blaze on their artistic journey, with fired up imagination and creativity.

For kids inclined to dance, Ballet Center’s Jazz and Contemporary dance classes will introduce them to the art and joys of dance. They will gain grace of movement and good poise too.

Workshop participants will showcase their new talents in the Grand Culmination Day at The Activity Center of Ayala Center Cebu on May 24.
