Rumor Has It: Samsung reported to release a 5.9-inch sized phtablet by mid-2013

CEBU, Philippines - With Samsung scheduled to unveil the highly anticipated Galaxy S4 on March 14, one would think that “leaks and rumors” revolving around the Korean smartphone maker’s upcoming products would come to a pause.

Apparently, the unveiling of the Galaxy S4 isn’t enough to keep Samsung “leaks and rumors” at bay.

Citing a Samsung executive who wishes to remain unnamed, The Korea Times notes that a bigger, 5.9-inch sized Samsung phtablet will be launched by the second half of the year, not indicating what this bigger-sized phtablet model would be.

Will this be the Galaxy Note 3, or will this be the flagship model of an entirely new Samsung product series?

Next gen iPad rumored to roll out by April 2013

iMore reports that the next generation iPad will be unveiled in the second quarter of 2013, with the “iPad 5” and the “iPad Mini 2” alleged to roll out as early as April.

As a site specializing in tech news and updates, iMore holds a record for being accurate with its product forecast and prediction reports – “leaks and rumors” pieces, if you will – citing sources who are familiar with a given brand’s plans and intentions.

Should Apple actually launch the next generation iPad next month, its debut would be a first in Apple’s annual iPad release cycle, with the device (or devices) coming out six months after the current generation iPad 4 and iPad Mini were unveiled.

Apart from the next generation iPad, the report also touched up on the release of an “iPhone 5S” as early as August 2013, a month earlier than Apple’s usual September-October new products scheduled unveiling dates.

Again, the items mentioned here are part of the many “leaks and rumors” circulating around the net.

But given that there have been a number of “leaks and rumors” proving themselves to be spot on with their “predictions”, the mobile arena may just witness the launch of the new iPad by April, as well the unveiling of a new 5.9-inch sized Samsung phtablet by June or July. — YRST (FREEMAN)
