CEBU, Philippines – The season seven grand champion will be declared tonight in the final round of Sinulog Idol 2016 at the Fuente Osmeña Circle. The annual singing competition features the best Cebuano talents. Twelve contestants have been displaying their vocal chops since last week’s nightly elimination rounds, with the last four standing set for a final showdown later in the evening.
Auditions happened during the last quarter of 2015, with hundreds of hopefuls flocking to the audition venue at Cebu City Sports Center for a shot at becoming the latest season winner of the awaited Sinulog Idol tilt.
This season’s finalists are May Kayla Barrientos, Genevieve Roche Flores, Niña Riza Naputo, Mary Abigail Salimbagat, Jessie Joy Veado, Kristoffer Kristie Bedua, Felix Baoy Jr., Denise Jeremiah Exaltacion, Michael Anthony Lao, Benedict Paraiso, Jose Thaddeus Roble and Roy Lotfel Racaza.
Sinulog Idol is managed by the Cebu City Government, Sinulog Foundation Inc., Soundtraxx Productions Studio and Center for Pop Music Philippines.
