Hit Koreanovela debuts today on GMA-7

CEBU, Philippines - GMA Network constantly proves to be The Heart of Asia as it airs nationwide the phenomenal hit Koreanovela “My Love from the Star” for the first time on Philippine television beginning today.

Following the success of the popular Koreanovela series “Endless Love” and “Full House,” GMA Network brings South Korea’s No. 1 romantic/comedy/sci-fi series in 2014 “My Love from the Star,” which is set to capture the interest of  Filipino viewers from all over the country. It showcases an extraordinary love story about two people coming from different worlds, and how love literally and figuratively defies time and space.

Matteo (Kim Soo Hyun) is a cold-hearted alien who was accidentally left behind on Earth 400 years ago. Three months before he gets back to the star where he lives, he meets Steffi (Jeon Ji Hyun), a self-centered but loveable actress who makes him wish to just be an ordinary man. But he will try to keep himself away from her because if he foregoes his only chance to return to his star, he will eventually die. Will true love be enough to stand the test of time and space?

Joining GMA’s afternoon block which begins with Philippine TV’s longest running noontime show “Eat Bulaga,” followed by drama series “Villa Quintana,” “Innamorata,” and “The Borrowed Wife,” “My Love from the Star” invades television viewing on Monday, April 21, at 5:50 p.m. right after “Balitang Bisdak” which all air at 5:05 p.m., and before GMA’s flagship newscast “24 Oras” which comes in at 6:30 p.m.  (FREEMAN)
