I've always maintained that the best of anything is made at home. Whether it be traditional cooking or someting more contemporary there is just thwte unique taste that you just can't get anywhere. I've been sweating buckets in front of the proverbial flame thinkfing about the menu for the upcoming company dinner. Ive decided to go the direction of a traditional  grilling party. With burgers and fries on my mind i set out in search of the perfect beef.

Throughout years of experience ive formulated and created my own recipe of tasty burgers    without sacrificing the tastiness of the beef. A wise old sage chef once told me that the beef should speak for itself. Like a fine cut of steak, it shouldn’t come with gravy because it should be swimming in its own, enjoying the full body of flavor, I wanted this on my burger.

It is my father’s 86th birthday, but he passed away 61 years ago. I never knew him really, but I miss him still. I notice that as I grow older, I miss him even more. It is his loss that has caused such a mess in my love life and such success in my professional life. All that because I did not know my father, who was taken from me and killed by the Japanese less than 24 hours before Manila was liberated. I lost him at the eleventh hour of the war. Every year that I think of him, I mourn more. This year, I have a different reason for mourning.

[Summary] => One Saturday afternoon at the boulevard on my way home I detoured to buy balloons for my grandson Alec. We went to the Luneta Grandstand. There were no balloons there. We tried the Aristocrat. No luck. At the Malate Church, there weren’t any either. Where have all the balloon vendors gone? We proceeded to the Remedios Circle. Surely it would be teeming with people and for sure there would be balloons from vendors for eager children. Wrong. What has happened?
