As a result, nothing further about my vacation in Europe was written. I have almost gotten over my jet lag (I’m still waking up at 1:30 in the afternoon) and I, once again, am in the company of my trusty Macintosh. I can finally start to finish the conclusion of the Belmonte family Euro trip.

Boonhiang was a scholar in Biochemistry, and his chemist wife Pom accompanied him during the four years it took to complete his research on protein engineering. Kat, their three-year-old daughter, was born during that time. We became friends while sharing accommodations in a sprawling Victorian house owned by our college, Gonville and Caius. Pom’s wonderful cooking eased the lives of those who enjoyed her dinners. [DatePublished] => 2001-06-30 00:00:00 [ColumnID] => 133272 [Focus] => 0 [AuthorID] => 1189526 [AuthorName] => by Ana P.
