Agolden celebration took place at the Manila Polo Club recently when the members of the Chamber of Pawnbrokers of the Philippines, Inc. (CPPI) gathered to commemorate their 50th anniversary. Coinciding with the festivities was the induction ball where officers and directors of the chamber took their oath to better the country’s pawnshop industry. Leading the fete was the hardworking eight-time president of the CPPI, Luis Ablaza Jr., and his supportive wife, Consul Mellie Ablaza of Guatemala.
