                    [Summary] => What makes Independence Day uplifting for me is the chance to revel in an intense feeling and sense of pride to be a Filipino. This pride swells whenever I pass the Cultural Center on my way to work these days and am overcome with emotion by the powerful art installation created for the celebrations. It is difficult to sustain a high level of pride throughout the year amid the noise of the city, the clatter of our complaints and the rumblings of irresponsible politicians we must contend with.

"Our demo farm is having its first big harvest on Dec. 15," he said.  The demo farm, which takes up 20% of the total land, is planted to more than 100 varieties of flowers, fruits and vegetables, from the popular lettuce to the less known round eggplants.
