The illustrious Ambassador Ramon V. del Rosario Sr., founder and chairman emeritus of Philippine Investment-Management Inc. (PHINMA), was recently honored at the 50th anniversary of PHINMA at the Rizal Ballroom of the Makati Shangri-La Hotel. Paying tribute that evening were PHINMA chairman Oscar Hilado, his son PHINMA president and CEO Ramon del Rosario Jr., his good friend Washington Sycip and even former Presidents Corazon Aquino and Fidel Ramos.

A formal dinner-dance party celebrating the birthday of one of Manila society’s hardworking ladies, the charming Nene Leonor, was held recently at the posh Manila Polo Club. The happy fete filled with gaiety and dancing was well-attended by a happy mix of public officials and personalities from the private sector. Of particular note, too, was the lavish food – sinful and pleasing to the palate, as always – which Nene is very well known for.
