MANILA, Philippines — Kapuso actress Mika Salamanca opened up about one of the most painful chapters of her love life, revealing that she stayed with a former boyfriend even after he cheated on her twice.

Mika shared the candid revelation during the grand mediacon of Regal Entertainment's upcoming film "Saving Cherry," where the cast discussed love, forgiveness and second chances.

The movie stars award-winning Kapuso actress Barbie Forteza, Khalil Ramos, Mikee Quintos, Sassa Gurl, AC Bonifacio, JC Alcantara and Mika. It was directed by Ivan Andrew Payawal.

During the press conference, the cast members were asked whether they believed in giving second chances to a partner who had been unfaithful.

For Mika, the answer was an unequivocal no.

"No! No talaga. Kasi, kapag nag-cheat talagang may lamat na, e. Hindi mo na maibabalik 'yung tiwala. And magsa-suffer lang 'yung relationship. So, it's a big NO!" she said.

Despite her firm stance today, the actress admitted she once endured repeated heartbreak because of how deeply she loved.

Asked about the craziest thing she had ever done for love, Mika said: "When I love kasi, I love hard. And one crazy thing I did for love is yung iniwan ko... I surrendered my green card for that person."

She then disclosed that she remained in the relationship even after discovering her boyfriend had been unfaithful not just once, but twice.

"'Yung isa pa, siguro I stayed din kahit nag-cheat siya ng dalawang beses! Du'n sa best friend niya tsaka du'n sa ex niya," she said.

While Mika reflected on the lessons she learned from a past relationship, she also gave an update on her present love life.

Although she stopped short of confirming the real status of her relationship with fellow Sparkle artist Will Ashley, the actress hinted that their bond has continued to grow following their stint on "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition."

Asked about their current relationship, Mika smiled and replied: "You mean, the real score? I would say it's high! Actually, our relationship is getting deeper."

She said Will has remained consistent in pursuing her since they left the reality show.

"I'm getting to know him better in the passing of days. You know, Will is someone who's very consistent with me after PBB. Until now, he's very consistent in pursuing me. On my part, I'm strongly considering what with all the efforts he's been exerting," the actress said.

Mika added that while they have yet to define their relationship publicly, they have grown much closer.

"We're very, very close at this point. He's been consistently pursuing me, and I appreciate it so much. Let's see in the coming days," she said.

Mika and Will first became close as housemates in "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition," with fans continuing to follow their blossoming relationship after the show ended.
