LOS ANGELES – Portland Trail Blazers guard Rodney Hood had surgery on Wednesday (Thursday, Manila time) to repair his ruptured left Achilles tendon, club president of basketball operations Neil Olshey said.

Hood was injured in the first quarter of the Trail Blazers' 136-113 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on December 6.

The Trail Blazers said there is no timetable for Hood's return.

In 21 games this season, Hood averaged 11.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.81 steals in 29.5 minutes per game.

His shooting percentage, 3-point percentage and rebounding average were all career highs.
