MANILA, Philippines — Argentina is through to the finals of the 2019 FIBA World Cup after outplaying France, 80-66, in Beijing, China on Friday.

After ousting title favorites Serbia in the quarterfinals, the Argentinians kept the French at bay and will meet the Spaniards in the gold medal match on Sunday.

Led by veteran Luis Scola, Argentina was able to emerge victorious.

With Frank Ntilikina and Evan Fournier leading their side, France made efforts to get back in the game in the final canto.

But free throw woes and Argentina getting back their offensive groove were able to stifle France's comeback try.
