MANILA, Philippines — The Gilas Pilipinas women's 3x3 squad scored a bronze medal finish in the FIBA 3x3 Under-18 Asia Cup after beating China, 14-11, in Cyberjaya, Malaysia on Saturday.
The Filipinas barged into the semifinals after beating New Zealand, 11-9 in the quarterfinals.
But they settled for the bronze medal match after a narrow 12-15 loss against Australia.
Their male counterparts, meanwhile, fell to the Chinese in the quarterfinals, 17-21.
